Joseph Moynat stadium Thonon-les-Bains

A redevelopment of the Joseph Moynat stadium in Thonon-les-Bains, on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, by Panorama Architecture; shortlisted at competition. The centrepiece is a new grandstand for 3,500-plus supporters, oriented toward the lake and slotted between the main pitch and the training fields, where it acts as a buffer between match-day crowds and routine practice. The move gives the stadium a clear front and back: one side opens onto the landscape, the other contains and organises the day-to-day life of the club.
