Le Clos de la Foux villa

In Mouans-Sartoux, in the Mediterranean hinterland behind Cannes, Bancau Architectes completed a 185 m² single-family villa at the end of 2022 for a retired couple. The plan gathers several monolithic volumes in massive Vers limestone, each one tuned to a domestic function and arranged around a central patio: the heart of the house and the space daily life turns around. The building reads as a single mineral object, with simple forms and measured openings that ration the southern light. Inside, terrazzo floors, marmorino lime plaster, oak and maritime pine joinery hold a cool, even climate in soft continuity with the outdoors.
