At Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée, a 300-person village at the edge of the Mercantour national park, the Eaux et Forêts building was the subject of a rehabilitation competition, for which CCArchitecte submitted a scheme. Built in 1912 for the Tinée dairy cooperative, sold in 1938 to the state forestry service that turned it into a fish farm, it still carries an Art Nouveau facade marking the village entrance. The project reuses it as a mixed public venue: a cinema, an exhibition and immersive-show room, a tourist office, national-park offices, a climbing hall, plus two renovated flats. Biosourced materials, a wood boiler, passive summer comfort and protected-species care make the rehabilitation the engine of the village's renewal.
