Roquefort-les-Pins hotel

On a hilltop at Roquefort-les-Pins, set in a 42-hectare estate, Gomis & Associés is developing a therapeutic hotel of 91 rooms and four villas, close to 17,000 m². The building is drawn from the ground itself: earth and stone dug out during the works return into the construction and the landscape, as floors, walls, finishes and outdoor grounds. The siting follows the morphology, geology and climate of the plot and keeps added intervention to the minimum. The architecture, owned as a 'claimed archaism', aims at a sober, vernacular and durable construction in continuous dialogue with what is already there.
