Flins-sur-Seine school complex

At Flins-sur-Seine, in the Yvelines, the town commissions Z Architecture for a new elementary school, paired with a school restaurant and an activity centre. The building, a single-storey timber frame, holds twelve classrooms including one ULIS unit, a library, an infirmary and rooms for support staff; its massing forms a new urban façade for the district. A large covered play area joins the school to the activity centre, while the playground follows cours-Oasis principles, de-paved and planted. The 1,820 m² target BEPOS E3C1, a positive-energy standard.
