School project in Clermont-Ferrand

Just outside downtown Clermont-Ferrand, in the fast-growing Regensburg district, MTA designed an entirely new nursery to meet demand in an area where local schools already run at capacity. Shortlisted in the 2026 competition, the project combines wood and stone in an architecture scaled to children. A closed courtyard keeps toddlers safe while opening onto planted gardens and play areas, and a green roof extends that landscape skyward. The new building answers the arrival of new residents in a neighborhood still under construction.
