Community center Loire Aubance

In Les Garrennes sur Loire, Magnum won the competition for a community centre that pools the services of the surrounding municipalities under a single roof. The plan reads as an L, its two wings each topped by a pitched roof; at the elbow, a largely glazed entrance hall sets the public threshold and orients visitors towards each service. The building is timber, kept legible as an object set into the Loire-side landscape rather than a generic civic facility.
