RTM HQ Marseille

On the Saint-Pierre depot site, along rue Saint-Pierre in Marseille, Carta-Reichen et Robert entered the competition to modernise a transport facility still in daily operation. The proposal adds a new three-storey building to the existing depot, where buses park and from which they pull out, without halting the depot's activity. The whole is wrapped in a light, breathing metal lattice that ties the extension to the existing structure while letting air and daylight pass through the parking levels. The depot's place in the network is already strategic, so the project reinforces it rather than relocating it.
